For our second holiday partnership with the talented team at TBWA\Chiat\Day\LA, we embraced an unexpected approach to gifting beauty during the holidaysit doesn't have to be that deep. Collaborating with Academy Award-winning filmmaker, Taika Waititi, resulted in stories that strike the perfect balance of authenticity, wit, and charm. I led the development of Sephora's holiday visual language, partnering with CGI powerhouse ManvsMachine to create a world that is elevated and playful. Due to internal timelines being far ahead of our agency briefing, we identified creative ways to blend the directions and create a seamless campaign expression across touch-points. A last-minute pitch to our store events team resulted in a first-ever experiential takeover of our TSQ location, creating a physical manifestation of the decision-tree framework that our brands could activate in December. As a final touch, my team delivered an anamorphic 3D approach for select OOH placements, resulting in a visually impactful presence in key US locations.
